Woolsthorpe is located in South West Victoria a little over 20 minutes from Warrnambool. It is at the junction of the Woolsthorpe-Heywood, Koroit-Woolsthorpe, and Warrnambool-Caramut Roads with bridges crossing Spring Creek on two sides.
A neat attractive town lined with deciduous trees and in recent times conifers, Woolsthorpe is a welcome stop after a long drive. The town has a combined Post Office and Milk Bar with takeaway including coffee and also sells fuel (a rarity in small towns). There is a pub in the main street that does meals 7 days a week that is popular with both and visitors. Woolsthorpe has tennis courts, a very popular primary school, cricket ground and importantly a toilet block.
If you are in a hurry for the loo it is in the main street next to the milk bar just in front of the tennis courts. If you haven’t filled up with fuel before leaving Warrnambool consider doing it now as the next stop is a fair way off.
