Around 180 kms from Melbourne on the Great Ocean Road is the popular seaside resort of Apollo Bay. It is nestled in the the foothills of the Otway Ranges . The local population is around 2,000 which swells with incoming visitors.
The town has a crescent shaped sandy beach, great for swimming with a magnificent backdrop of the green Otway hills. In the nearby ranges you can visit waterfalls, national and state parks and abundant wildlife.
Located only 150 metres off Apollo Bay’s picturesque main beach it is an easy 400 metre walk to the shopping and restaurant strip. Apollo Bay is the logical centre point along the Great Ocean Road Shipwreck Coast for assorted day trips to various attractions including historical sites and national parks.
