Formerly Club Warrnambool the Quorum Restaurant originally started back in 1873 and aren’t we so glad that they did. One of the modern improvements to the original Club was the introduction of meals and this is one of the best places for lunch in Warrnambool. If you are here on the right weekend try one of their High Teas that occur monthly.
Elegant would be the best description for Quorum Restaurant with original styling and decor you immediately settle into the quiet and relaxed ambience. If you can wrangle the high back chairs in front of the fireplace, grab a newspaper, order coffee and just escape from the world. Although dinner meals are in the upper price range (although not excessive for the menu), lunch is very good at a surprisingly reasonable price.
From the outside with its Heritage listed building to the inside with high ceilings, this is one of the best places to escape the hustle of the outside world. Grab a high back chair, sit near the fire and let your worries just melt away.
I can understand the name change as on my last visit with guests from Melbourne I noticed the husband was not settling into the comfy chair and relaxing as the rest of us were. On questioning him I found he was concerned that we had sat down and ordered after I stated that we were not members. The word Club can conjure the wrong meaning for potential patrons.
